FYP 1 Week 16 : Preliminary Result
Date: 16 / 5 / 2018 ( Saturday )
Title: Preliminary Result
The Result (SpO2 Test)
Today we test our sound sensor. For the SpO2 test of Philips Suresign VM6 Patient Bedside Monitor , two test to be conduct:
1)The Finger Test
-Finger at the SpO2 place
-Finger were remove from SpO2 finger sensor
2)The Cable Test
-Cable at the SpO2 place attached
-Cable at the SpO2 place is not attached.
Both will be test by obtaining the signal from oscilloscope. Instead of getting 4 waveform’s result of Sp02 test, we managed to get 6 waveform’s of different condition which triggered the alarm. Although one or two waveform are not included in SpO2 test, however we just bring it together as our observation.

Results
- Condition : Have Pulse
Explaination : A finger is placed at the fingertip sensor of Philips Suresign VM6
Frequency: 22.73 Hz
Time : 44.0 ms
2. Condition : Non-Pulsatile
Explaination: No finger at the fingertip sensor of Philips Suresign VM6
Frequency : 5.208 Hz
Time : 192.0 ms
3.Condition : No Sensor
Explaination : The cable for SpO2 was deatteched from the monitor
Frequency: 4.630 Hz
Time : 216.0 ms
Additional waveform
Several condition give us diffrent alarm sound:
4. Condition : Desat (SpO2)
Explaination : It might be Desaturation of oxygen
Frequency: 1.163 Hz
Time : 860.0 ms
Explaination : Heart Rate Low
Frequency: 1.786 Hz
Time : 560.0 ms
6. Condition : Noise from Cooling Fan of the Monitor
Explaination : Cooling Fan noise give undesired wavelenght and frequency
Conclusion
From the results obtained, we managed to get a several type of alarm condition and the results are desireable. However, we do not have much time to captured the amplitude voltage of those alarms. Maybe in our next session we
will get it.
